Preparing the Foam Gun
1. Clean the Gun: Thoroughly clean the foam gun with a polyurethane cleaning agent to ensure smooth operation. This removes any leftover material that could clog the gun.
2. Shake the Can: Grip the foam adhesive can firmly in the middle. Shake it vigorously back and forth for at least 15-30 seconds to ensure the prepolymer inside is well mixed. Proper mixing creates a consistent foam application.
3. Attach the Can:
- Remove the protective cover from the valve on the foam can's thread ring.
- Make sure the cleaning agent is completely removed from the foam gun.
- Screw the foam can onto the threaded interface of the foam gun. Tighten securely.
Using the Foam Gun
4. Adjust the Flow: Hold the foam gun handle firmly. Make sure the foam can is above the gun.
- Locate the flow adjustment valve at the back of the foam gun.
- Open this valve slightly to allow foam to flow. You can adjust the flow rate later for optimal application.
5. Start Applying Foam:
- Point the foam gun nozzle towards the bottom or inside of the area you want to fill.
- Gently squeeze the trigger to begin dispensing foam.
- Use a sweeping motion to apply the foam, starting from the bottom and working your way up.
- As you apply, adjust the flow rate using the valve at the back for the desired amount of foam.
Refilling and Cleaning
6. Adding More Foam: If you need to refill after one can is empty, quickly remove the empty can.
- Follow step 3 to attach a new can of foam adhesive and continue working.
7. Cleaning Up: After you're done using the foam gun, immediately remove the used foam can.
- Replace it with a can of dedicated cleaning agent.
- Spray the cleaning agent through the gun to remove any leftover material.
- This prevents the foam from solidifying and blocking the gun.
